The Streets Division removes snow and de-ices the City’s streets. The City’s policy is to keep major streets, steep hills, controlled intersections, designated sidewalks, and bike paths passable for drivers and pedestrians. Streets crews remove measurable accumulations of snow and apply a variety of anti-icing, de-icing, and traction materials to counter the effects of ice build-up.

The City of Gillette has over 165 miles of streets to maintain. To learn more about the City's snow removal policies, de-icing materials, and other commonly asked questions, please consult the ice brochure [PDF], or plowing priorities [PDF].
