Overview

The Engineering Division is responsible for:

  • Developing the infrastructure master plans to identify Gillette’s future needs. 
  • Reviewing and permitting all infrastructure improvements within the city limits. 
  • Developing & maintaining regulatory manuals, design standards, and construction specifications 
  • Planning, designing, and constructing capital construction projects. 
  • Evaluate and maintain Gillette's traffic/transportation system 
  • Preparing information for grant applications. 
  • Acting as the flood plain manager for the City of Gillette.

Engineering performs a variety of other miscellaneous services as well. These services include:

Gillette hosts Wyoming Conference of Building Officials June 12th - 14th, 2013

Road Construction Updates - May 15, 2013
The City of Gillette announces the following road construction updates for Westover Road, 1st Street/Burma Avenue, 4J Road/Boxelder Road, and Lakeway Road.
Emergency Lane Closure - Burma Avenue
The City of Gillette announced an emergency lane closure on northbound Burma Avenue from 1st Street to Larch Street (just south of Warlow Drive.) The lane closure is to allow crews to inspect and repair a water main leak. The southbound lane of Burma Avenue from Warlow Drive to 1st Street will remain open.
