The Gillette City Council approved their goals for Fiscal Year 2011/2012 at the March 7th City Council Meeting. The approved goals for Fiscal Year 11/12 are:
• Develop a Long-Range Strategy for Gillette College with City, Campbell County and Legislators for a increased enrollment at Gillette College (addressing student center, gym, dorms, and expanded operating funds for additional course offerings and instructors)
• Continue on Accelerated Schedule for the Gillette Regional Water Project completion up to two (2) years early (by 2014), State funding permitting.
• City-Wide Applications Software/Hardware replacement and upgrades
(multi-year conversion and on-line payments capability for everything)
• Update Parks & Outdoor Recreation Master Plan addressing the “Fields of Dreams” plan for former State Lands Parcel; Subdivision Code Update and Subdivision Fee in Lieu; Little League fields playable by 2012(?); site development by City, County and Gillette College addressing:
- Rodeo Facilities
- Golf Course
- Regional Recreation Facilities
- Roads and Utilities
• Develop a Long Range Plan for The Fishing Lake Park (including additional road access in 2011-2012)
• Construct Country Club Road in 2012
• Develop Long-Term Plan for City West with Phased Implementation:
- Heated Storage
- Covered Storage
- Outside Storage
- Office Space and Parking
- Land Acquisition
- Warlow Yards
